Homework Club
- Description: Students get a head start on homework and class activities/projects by working individually or in small groups while supervised and assisted by Mrs. Johnson (Mon/Wed - FACS Rm.) or Mrs. Tozzi (Tues/Thurs - Rm. 23).

Science Club
- Description: Do you enjoy scientific mysteries? Science projects let you practice your detective skills as you determine an answer to a scientific mystery. If you are interested in scientific experimentation, then you should join the science club!

Technology Club
- Description: The technology club will work on a variety of projects in the technology wood shop. Some projects include making skateboards and skim boards. Students are encouraged to bring in ideas for individual projects as well.

Yearbook Club
- Description: Yearbook club members will help take pictures at school/community events, learn and utilize the online yearbook program, create layouts, and the overall theme of the school yearbook.

Art Club
- Description: Art club is designed to involve students who have interest in areas of painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry making, and crafts. Students will also have the opportunity to work together on projects for their community and school.

Interact Club
- Description: Interact Club is a community service organization. We are the youth component of Rotary International and are committed to giving back to our community through goodwill, hard work, and the creation of new relationships and experiences. Our guiding questions reflect the core values of Rotary International: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Is it beneficial to all? We volunteer at many events sponsored by the Rotary Club of the Moriches, which raises money for Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck among other service projects. Some of our events include Stuff-A-Bus, during which we collect food for local pantries, the annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa, and the Center Moriches Holiday Parade. Students involved in Interact Club have a fun and engaging extracurricular experience while giving back to and learning about their community.

Student Council
- Description: Student Council is a student organization based on representative government in which members from each grade come together to give back to and improve our school environment. Last year, we created and participated in multiple school-based events and fundraisers like the holiday kindness tree, St. Patrick’s Day raffle, and the Talent Show. Please contact Mrs. Hafener about any questions pertaining to student council elections and/or volunteering to be part of this organization.

- Description: Students organize, stock, manage and work as cashiers for our school store which sells various items such as school supplies and novelty items.

The History League
- Description: The History League represents East Moriches Middle School as we compete in monthly contests against other middle schools in a Jeopardy-like game that tests knowledge of current events and a variety of historical topics.

Fifth and Sixth Grade Chorus
- Description: Fifth and Sixth grade students interested in joining chorus and participating in the Winter and Spring Chorus Concerts have the opportunity to work with Mrs. Primavera after school at the Elementary School. Students can either be picked up after each rehearsal or take the Elementary School buses home.

Environmental Club
- Description: Do you consider yourself a friend of the Earth? This club will focus on recycling and re-purposing in order to help our planet. We are as concerned with our local environment as we are with the world at large and will be collecting ink cartridges, water bottles and other items to save our lovely planet. We will also be making useful items out of recycled materials.

Sailing Club
- Description: An introduction to sailing designed for students with little or no sailing experience. Students will learn all about sailboats and sailing from Mr. Grunseich, owner/operator of The Silly Lily Fishing Station, in a classroom right in the Moriches Bays! Sailing club starts in the fall and continues as weather permits. After the winter months have passed the sailing club resumes in the spring.

- Description: Badminton Club is designed for students who have an interest in learning the game of badminton.

Robotics Club/RC Club
- Description: An introduction to the engineering, building and programming of small robots and remote controlled vehicles! Perfect for teh student that loves to see numbers and piles of metal and wire come together to make a working machine!

- Days: Based on enrollment, members will be assigned a day of the week when their group will meet. Once all permission slips are collected a schedule will be created and distributed to club members.

Drama Club
- Description: A fun, student based introduction to the performing arts! Students will have the opportunity to participate in the many different facets that are all part of bringing a production to life! Whether it's performing, student directing or working behind the scenes with the stage crew, there is something for everyone in The Drama Club!

- Days: Every other Wednesday start October 7th. Drama club will become more frequent and the hours of rehearsal will increase as the production dates approach (Friday, Feb. 5th and Saturday, Feb. 6th). Students should expect to meet most if not all days during the month of January.

Jazz Band
- Description: This ensemble is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students by audition and will teach the basics of jazz, the styles of jazz, and improvisation.
